5 stars from homeowners and roofers
5.0
“Great company to partner with! They handled a solar detach and reset for us during an HVAC and roofing job for our customer. They were fast, professional, and made the whole project effortless for us. Will absolutely work with them again on other projects.”
“I was so stressed trying to find someone who could reset my solar while I was getting my roof replaced and ReGrid made the process SO easy and hands off for me. Couldn't recommend more! 10 stars! Thank you so much!”
“ReGrid Energy Solutions exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and transparent throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all of my questions, kept me informed every step of the way, and delivered exactly what they promised. Their attention to detail and customer service truly set them apart. I highly recommend.”
“Over 30 years in the real estate industry i have found inspections are crucial. I started having ReGrid inspect solar systems making sure that they are operating and performing properly. Most buyers do not have experience reading solar electric bills and the only way you can determine performance is calling an expert.”
“Great price, great service, and easy process. Highly recommend!”
“I can't say enough about ReGrid. We have had rooftop solar panels for sixteen years, whole-home batteries for four years and a water heater on the roof since 1985. When it finally became necessary to replace our roof, I was pleasantly suprised to find one company who would coordinate with our roofing contractor to handle the disconnection, removal and reinstallation of all of our solar equipment, regardless of the manufacturer. ReGrid's project coordination was absolutely seamless. The photovoltaic panels were removed on Thursday, the water heater was removed on Friday, the tear-off and partial reshingle of the roof was completed on Saturday and the water heater was reinstalled on Sunday. We actually had running hot water again by 6:00 PM Sunday evening. The batteries and rails were reconnected and the photovoltaic panels were reinstalled and recommissioned only two days later -- once the rest of the roof was completed. It was an amazing ballet of contractors, engineers, technicians and managers all working together to complete a very complicated project in record time. I can highly recommend ReGrid if you want to simplify your life. They are the supreme solution to any solar roofing project.”
Detach & Reset Questions
The things homeowners and roofers ask before a re-roof with solar on it.
- Do solar panels have to come off to replace a roof?
- Yes. Rooftop solar is mounted through the roof surface, so a roofer needs the panels off to tear off and re-roof underneath them. ReGrid removes the array before the roofing crew starts and reinstalls it once the new roof is on.
- Does ReGrid replace the roof too?
- No. ReGrid handles only the solar: the detach before the roof work and the reset after it. Your roofer replaces or repairs the roof, and we coordinate directly with them so the two schedules line up.
- How long are the panels off the roof?
- The roofing work sets the gap. In most cases ReGrid reinstalls the system 3 to 7 days after the new roof is finished.
- Where are the panels kept while the roof is replaced?
- Each panel and component is labeled at detach and stored securely on-site for the duration of the roofing work.
- How is solar detach and reset priced?
- As a flat per-panel quote. You review and approve it online, with no sales call, and we confirm timing with you and your roofer.
- What happens at the reset?
- The system is reinstalled on properly sealed mounts, verified operational, and you receive a full photo report of the work.
- Where in Arizona does ReGrid do detach and reset?
- Across the Phoenix metro and Tucson: Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Buckeye, Goodyear, Avondale, Queen Creek, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Tucson.
- Can a roofing contractor book the detach and reset for their customer?
- Yes. Roofers submit the job, receive a flat-rate quote, and schedule the detach and reset directly with ReGrid, then get back to roofing. See the roofer page at regrid.energy/roofers.
